Neil Bhargava

An amiable young man with a sense of humour , Neil is by all accounts an exceptional student and leader . He is a person of strong faith and character , personal integrity and sincere warmth . He has high expectations of himself and is devoted to completing every task well .
Teachers who have taught him have observed that Neil possesses sound moral values and is a fair and reliable student leader . With quiet determination , he always strives to achieve his best . He is responsible , respectful and sensitive to the needs of others , relating well with both teachers and peers . He speaks confidently and is able to convey his ideas clearly and diplomatically .
Neil ’ s personal strengths are as impressive as his intellectual accomplishments . He truly demonstrates a growth mindset , inspires and supports those around him . He always takes the initiative to lend a helping hand to anyone in need . Most importantly , Neil respects and shows the ability to empathize with others . These , together with dedication and contribution to the wider school community , won him the Lasallian Student Award and Teo Cheng Guan Scholarship in 2014 and 2016 respectively .
for others is not confined to the school but extends to the wider community . Neil is one of the founding members of Team Nila - a national movement that promotes the culture of giving , citizen partnership and social cohesion through sports volunteerism .
Given his enthusiasm towards life , a tenacity amidst difficult circumstances and compassion for others , Neil is an individual who will not cower easily in the face of adversity and will always be mindful of how he can contribute to society .
Neil is a leader for others . In his secondary years , Neil was the captain of the school ’ s canoeing team , President of the Secondary Student Council and the Head Prefect in 2016 . He also served as the captain of the football team in his IB years and has led the newly established team to a Top 8 finish in the ‘ A ’ Divisions . His presence and influence among his peers made a significant difference to the Council , the canoeing and football teams . He was purposeful and resolute leadership emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration . Vedant Chauhan , a student leader who has led alongside with Neil , calls him “ driven ” and that “ his passion comes from within ”. Verdant calls him somebody who “ walks the talk ”.
A Lasallian leader , Neil often places the needs of others before himself . He exudes an air of charisma that is inspirational , serving the community with a strong conviction and with a high level of humility . He constantly looks out and cares for others , albeit in a subtle manner . His concern
