2018 has truly been a very successful year for SJI BLOODay CAS as two successful donation drives were held in collaboration with Singapore Red Cross and Health Sciences Authority . Both events received overwhelming response with the second donation drive garnering more than 130 signups , the highest number so far . Even though this was only the second year that the mobile blood bank was held on the Malcolm campus , the support for this altruistic cause shown by Josephians reflected our mission of becoming “ men and women for others ”. Seeing the positive response to the exhibition on blood donation that was set up a week before the blood drive was heartening . The genuine interest expressed by Josephians not only to serve the community , but also to find out how donating their blood can help others as well , has motivated the members of BLOODay CAS . As both donation drives have concluded successfully , we would like to thank all donors , students , teachers and staff , and the large group of students from SJI International -- for their support even though some were turned down due to the stringent criteria . We hope this spirit to serve and to make a difference in the community will continue to flourish in SJI .
