Gymnastics
Gymnastics . A sport that requires physical strength , grace , flexibility , courage , balance and determination . In SJI , gymnastics is divided into 2 main categories : artistic gymnastics and trampoline . In 2016 , the SJI gymnastics team trained at the gymnasium in Henry Park Primary School . Despite the older apparatus , the team managed to get themselves in tip-top condition for competition .
National Inter-School Gymnastics Championships - Trampoline On 23 March , the SJI Gymnastics Trampoline team competed in Bishan Sports Hall and fought valiantly against powerhouses such as Whitley Secondary School and Hwa Chong Institution .

National Inter-School Gymnastics Championship - Artistic On 30 March , the SJI Artistic Gymnastics team competed in the Artistic Gymnastics championships . Due to the lack of participants from each school , only individual awards were given out . Despite being affected by numerous injuries , the SJI Artistic Gymnastics team pushed forward and put up a strong fight against national team athletes from Singapore Sports School and Hwa Chong Institution .
Individual awards : B-Division : Zac Liew - 1st for Pommel Horse ; 2nd for Parallel Bars ; 2nd for Horizontal Bar ; 2nd for Vault ; 2nd for Individual All- Around
C-Division : David Wong - 1st for Parallel Bars ; 2nd for Floor Exercise ; 2nd for Horizontal Bar ; 3rd for Individual All-Around
