Drama Club
The SJI Drama Club performed yet another series of astounding feats in the year 2016 . During the First Semester , we were given the opportunity to present an adaptation of George Orwell ' s " Animal Farm " in front of the entire school community , as well the public ! By transforming the tame farm into a grand circus as the basis of our performance , the energy , excitement and suspense was high . Although the primary objective of the show was to educate the Lower Secondary students on the classic novella . The drama club exceeded expectations , receiving high acclaim from the audience . Needless to say , such an accomplishment was only made possible by the hours of toil and sweat put in by the dedicated and passionate members .
In the second semester , the SJI drama club was invited to perform in the prestigious " 10 in a Bag " drama festival , hosted by the Singapore Drama Educator ' s Association . Offering the Lower Secondary club members a chance to perform , the Secondary Two students took on the mantle of leadership- scriptwriting , directing and acting for the event . Despite bearing the responsibility of representing the school , the drama club once again did not disappoint . The Secondary Two ' s put up an outstanding performance of satirical comedy , clinching honour and glory for the school .
