This year ’ s National Inter-School Tennis Championship saw the ‘ B ” Division faring better . After months of hard work , we have achieved fourth position in the group stages after playing with major power houses such as ACS ( I ) and ACS ( Barker ). Our best result this season was our victory over HCI , shocking them with a 4-1 win . As for the ‘ C ’ Division , we did not perform as well as compared to previous years but the experience from the matches made us realise how to improve our skills .
An eventful and memorable activity for the boys was spending a Saturday volunteering at Beyond Social Services ’ Community Day which was held at Henderson Estate . Our Josephians tirelessly manned the free market booth where they handed out items that had been donated by their fellow Josephians and teachers . It was a meaningful activity as our boys were made aware of the less privileged in our society and the need to reach out to them .
