BOOK WEEK

24 – 28 MARCH 2014

Who says books are a thing of the past ? Held on 24th – 28th March , SJI ’ s first ever Book Week aims to change that notion . With a slew of activities such as the Book Election , Readathon and Speed Booking that captured the interest of many , the weeklong event is an enrapturing start to a legacy that will live on in SJI .

Book Selection : Students from all levels came to the library to select books to set up their class library .
Students were asked to vote for their favourite book .
Readathon : Mdm Shanti and Mrs Beryl Ang shared an extract from their favourite books .
Mr Lim Meng Chye was attempting to read in Mandarin , much to the surprise of his students .
It is no secret who Mr Ghazali ’ s favourite author is .
Secondary One students came prepared .
It was refreshing to listen to Mr Karl Lee read in Mandarin .
The Sec 4s decided to add some jazz to their reading of a poem .
Ms Elizabeth Mosbergen , Mrs Janet Kwok , Ms Rita Roop and Mr Pragalath .

Speed Booking : Our Russian sniper , Lionel , caught the attention of his Chinese teachers , Ms Tay and Ms Boon .
