Splash Awards July – August 2013
The Splash Awards 2013 , organised by the Singapore Computer Society , brought Secondary to Junior College students together in a battle to develop mobile applications of innovation and entrepreneurship . Jonathan Soong ( MN 201 ), Jared Sim ( MN 201 ) and Ryan Chong ( ML 301 ) represented the school as Team YAM . After spending the entire June Holiday on the project , they created the Kindred Knowledge Konnector and emerged champions at the finals . SJI has topped the game for three years in a row .
National StrITwise Integrated IT Camp 2013 - 2nd , 4th and 6th place The StrITwise Integrated IT Camp 2013 is a yearly 3 days 2 nights camp leading up to a mobile game application made from the programme GameSalad , in a friendly camp setting including other enriching activities like visits to Microsoft Singapore . Having the theme of the competition only revealed on the first day of the camp , the stage was set for an even battle between all the schools involved . The teams worked hard all day long at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and managed to score 3 out of the 6 prized spots for the finals . 3 out of the 4 teams we sent walked home with a prize , with the 6th place going to Jordan Thet ( LE 303 ), Ryan Chong ( ML 301 ), Willy Wai ( MN 202 ) and Brian Chua ( LE 202 ), 4th place going to Lim Fern Hu ( ML 301 ), Timothy Yee ( ML 303 ), Abel Loh ( FN 202 ) and Jared Sim ( MN 201 ) and finally 2nd place going to Daniel Lee ( LE 301 ), Jonathan Soong ( MN 201 ), Charles Ng ( FN 202 ) and Randy Cheng ( LE 203 ).
