different schools and learn to be leaders and mentors to others . Useful activities such as an outdoor cooking session followed by a hike help to teach cadets the values of solidarity and perseverance , while bonding them with cadets of other schools as well .
Visit from St Francis Xavier ’ s College in Hong Kong On 5th July , St Francis Xavier ’ s College from Hong Kong , sent a group of Saint John Ambulance Brigade cadets to visit Singapore . SJI is honored to be nominated by St John Headquarters to host our guest . A tremendous amount of effort was invested in making the trip possible , from choosing the appropriate souvenirs to ensuring smooth flow of administrative work . Even though SJI SJAB could not mobilize all of its members to be actively involved in the exchange programme due to the Annual Parade rehearsals , four cadets hosted the visitors . Both schools learnt a lot from each other . We learnt how the two organizations vary in terms of administration as well as how activities are organised in the school . However most importantly , cadets from both schools were able to form bonds and build friendships with each other .
