Brand Insight
Named as 'the future of fashion' Balmain has taken the fashion world by storm but now it is taking the interior design world by storm as well. We explore the rise in the success behind this.
When you think of Balmain you think of high fashion, embroidered material and the many celebrities that have worn Balmain pieces over the years. A lot comes to mind, but what stands out the most for me is the fabrics the colours and the texture of the material. You could call it the material that makes fashion history, every collection and every show is always something new, bold and exciting, but it always has the Balmain twist on it. You can often tell the difference between Gucci and Balmain and not because you are a fashion expert but because Balmain is the 21st century of fashion it’s the now, it’s a buzz that you will always hear in fashion.
Over the years we have seen Balmain collaborate with big fashion brands such as H&M, this collaboration is still well sort after and has a hype around it. A-List celebs such as, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have also been the face of Balmain for many years; this has also brought great hype around the brand.
It’s very clear that the fashion world is head over heels with Balmain but what about the Interior design world? Well it seems they are exactly the same when it comes to talk about Balmain, many Interior designers over the world have been inspired by Balmains work and have tired to put this into a project they are doing or even just a small part of a room. They are inspired and they want to recreate his work into furniture and into wallpaper for clients. Many have said that his collections are an example of luxury and within design and luxury design they want to include this and make it a firm part of this world.
Top Interior designers are pushing Rousteing to come out with a collection of his own interiors and fabrics, wallpapers furniture you name they want it. The real question on everyone’s mind is will he do it?
