Job Shadowing in Sønderskov-Skolen (Søndenborg, Denmark) 4th February 2019 - 8th February 2019 14.30 - 16.30 Attending LEAPS course for teachers. Teacher training in the context of LEAPS. The trainer, Law Ortiguerra introduces the two aims of the session: First, the teachers carry out an activity to reflect on deeper learning (How do the teachers at Sønderskov-Skolen see deeper learning in their classes?). In the second part of the sesion, Loni Bergqvist (trainer) introduces the case of the two 16- year-old American students from High Tech High San Diego, Gigi and Olivia. They are presenting the final product of their 6-week internship in Søndenborg. She explains that High Tech High students do two oral presentations every year where they have to show that they are getting the 6 competences that students need when they finish school:  Academic content  Problem solving ability  Cooperation  Effective communication  Learning how to learn  Developing and academic mindset She talks about 3 types of presentations (PPT, Ted Talk and Metaphor).  Olivia uses the Ted Talk format and Gigi the Metaphor one.  Rubrics are used for assessment.
