Expectations of your interview
The interview process proves to be very stressful and challenging for everyone
involved.
If you have never had an interview before, it can be a very daunting experience, not
knowing what to expect, and made to follow an established interview etiquette
which you will have never encountered before.
You may be applying for a role that you have seen advertised, or perhaps you have
been recommended/put forward for it by your manager/family or friend, and are
now working through the process of trying to understand what it is that is expected
of you to prepare for this interview.
You may even be competing against some strong candidates including your internal
work colleagues, external applicants and even friends, but don’t let this put you off
from applying! Do they have the qualifications, experience or skill set to do the job?
Maybe they do, but how will they perform in an interview? Are they prepared for
their interview? Are they confident? Are you?
You deserve to be given this interview. You have already successfully competed
against many applicants who did not make the shortlisting selection and now it’s
time for you to prove yourself in the interview process.
