within the 75 dB DNL noise contour that are incompatible. This includes the
0.07 acres located south‐southeast of the installation within the Goldsboro
urbanized area and the 129.83 acres located adjacent to the northeastern
installation boundary by the airfield. There are 8.30 acres of commercial
land uses located within the 80 dB DNL noise contour that are incompatible.
These commercial land uses allow for retail‐types of development including
neighborhood shopping and major, Big Box shopping malls, e.g.
Walmart Supercenters, open air malls.
