The City of Goldsboro has incorporated a Noise Overlay District in
Section 5.9 of the city Zoning Ordinance which prescribes uses within each
of the noise contours. Uses per the Noise Overlay are shown in Table 5.18‐7
and are compliant with the recommendations of AFI 32‐7063. In some cases

the requirements and exclusions are more restrictive than the Air Force
recommendations, particularly where uses may be recommended as
conditionally compatible such as agriculture, education facilities, and
medical facilities.
