Any student who commits any violation of these rules will be reported to the school administration by the bus driver.
Cafeteria
Students are assigned to one of our pods( period 3, 4, or 5 class will determine the pod assignment). Cafeteria pods are not assigned based upon social groups. This organization and structure are solely for efficiency and safety. Please understand that feeding roughly 300-350 middle school students in each lunch wave can be challenging. The lunch pods reduce chaos and allow for proper supervision of our students. All students are provided adequate time to eat; however, we ask that you speak to your child about prioritizing eating over iPad usage and socializing.
Cell Phones / Smart Watches
Cell phones and smart watches are prohibited during the school day. Calls to parents / guardians are to be made in the house offices. Students are expected to have their cell phones and / or smart watches off and secured in their locker. Your child’ s locker is a secure place to store their device during school hours. These devices have many pros but in the hands of a middle schooler the device creates a major distraction to the learning environment. Moreover, we are finding that students cannot regulate themselves and are unable to disconnect from their device.
First Offense: Student receives the cell phone / smart watch at the end of the class period. day.
Second Offense: Student receives the cell phone / smart watch at the end of the school
Subsequent Offenses: A parent / guardian must pick-up the device.
Refusal to hand over the cell phone and / or smart watch will result in a suspension for insubordination.
Dress Expectations
