1st Annual Leadership Symposium
“Students looking to make a difference”
The goal of the 2-day
symposium was to develop
student leadership potential,
utilize leadership skills that
enable students to be respon-
sible citizens, develop citizens
who are prepared for the 21st
century challenges, and to
provide students with an op-
portunity to practice these
leadership skills. Concepts
included: Developing a Sense
of Who You Are as a Leader,
What is Leadership?, Leader-
ship Skills and Practice, and
Service Leadership. Partici-
pants included:
Ms. Santanella’s Class explores the US through Pen-Pals
Mrs. Santanella’s stu-
dents are receiving post-
cards far and wide from
all over the United
States. A giant map dis-
plays the postcards re-
ceived and where that
state is located. Many
friends, teachers and
family members from all
over the U.S. are helping
to spread the word and
the project is a big hit!
