John F. Kennedy Middle School 2018-2019 Yearbook Cover Contest
All students are invited to design a cover for the yearbook, and then the Yearbook Advi-
sors will vote for the winning cover!
Contest Rules:
Submit your cover (front AND back) design on an 8 ½ x 11” piece of paper (not lined paper).
Covers must be portrait orientation, not landscape.
The cover must include all of these words: John F. Kennedy Middle School 2018-2019.
The theme will be “This Is Who We Are…50 years later” Absolutely no abbreviations or spelling
mistakes!
One entry per student!
Entries must not be folded – put your entry in the folder provided, and include the entry form
below. Label your envelope or folder “Attention: Yearbook”
Do not sign your drawing – you may put your name on the back, or just include the entry form.
The winner will receive credit in the yearbook and a free yearbook.
No use of commercial or licensed characters, or logos, and no offensive material.
Entries must be submitted to HUB-2 no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, December 15th.
We cannot guarantee that the artwork will be returned.
Any covers that do not meet the rules will not be included when the advisors vote for the win-
ning cover.
Suggestions:
You can use any medium to design the cover: colored pencils, crayons, watercolors, markers,
etc. Make sure your letters are dark enough to be easy to read. (A black outline can some-
times help.)
Try to think of a design that reflects J.F.K. as a whole.
Remember that small writing and small pictures can be hard to see, and often less is more!
The cover will be in color. Feel free to make your cover as colorful as you like.
