WIZO hosts forum
At the recent WIZO Forum: “Is Israel on the road to
isolation?” deputy Israeli ambassador Michael Freeman
kept the audience riveted as he debunked the threats
to isolate Israel and vilify her though the media. He
encouraged everyone to speak about the positives that
define what Israel stands for and what she achieves for
herself and for the world in terms of medical, technological
and environmental advances.
He also warned about giving the BDS movement oxygen
in the Jewish press and spoke about the many cultural
and sporting exchanges that occur between SA and Israel.
He praised the work done by SAUJS, the SAJBD and the
SAZF in combating negative stereotypes, and left everyone
feeling proud and positive.
