ELIE BERNHEIM,
CEO of Raymond Weil
Describe yourself in three words?
Impatient, driven, innovative.
How did you get to be where you are today?
I’m proud to be part of an independent family company.
My grandfather, Mr Raymond Weil, founded the company
in 1976 and I was appointed CEO in April 2014 after taking
over from my father, Olivier Bernheim.
Which aspect of your job do you enjoy most, and why?
Horology, family and music are our three main pillars and
I love that my job incorporates the three things I am most
passionate about.
What is your proudest achievement?
Aside from becoming a father and being appointed CEO
of Raymond Weil, creating new timepieces I can see on
end-consumers’ wrists.
What is the best advice you have been given in work
or life in general?
To stay focused and to never stop asking questions.
What is your next goal?
Although in-store retail partners are still the biggest
proportion of our sales, I am excited to grow our
online business and pioneer our e-commerce offerings
globally. The digitisation of society is fascinating and
inspires me greatly.

“Princes Square is a beautiful boutique shopping
centre and we’ve long aspired to have a presence there
as retail is a critical element of what we do. In 2018,
after a very busy few years developing our new Kirk
Gallery shop and café in Orkney, we finally got the
opportunity to take up a space within the centre that
we felt would work well for us and give us scope to do
something really special for our Glasgow customers.”
