KFC to launch ‘ fried chicken ’ inspired engagement ring
The fast-food giant said that couples who decide to tie the knot with the ring can expect a “ special wedding surprise ” from the restaurant chain . KFC in Poland will be creating a specially designed engagement ring inspired by its food .
The ring will consist an external layer made of gold , with a fineness of 750 , which the group said will make people
think of its signature “ crunchy coating ”.
Inside is the actual engagement ring consisting of 950 platinum set with nearly 150 small diamonds and crowned with a 0.7 carat diamond .
KFC said : “ The special piece of jewellery is not to be missed by fans who want to show their love to their significant other .”

Online jewellery retailer The Diamond Store has reported a marked increase in sales of Meghan Markle-inspired three-stone engagement rings for Valentine ’ s Day .
According to the luxury online jeweller , the three-stone diamond ring trend has skyrocketed since Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle on 27 November .
Since that day , ‘ the Meghan ring ’ has become the retailer ’ s fastest-growing website search term .
Gary Ingram , The Diamond Store CEO , said : “ Our customer searches for ‘ three-diamond rings ’, ‘ Meghan rings ’ and ‘ trilogy rings ’ have risen by 420 %. Sales for three-stone rings between 27 November and beginning of February 2018 , compared to the exact same period last year , have tripled .”
The jeweller believes the trend could even overtake solitaire and halo rings – UK ’ s most popular engagement ring styles – by the end of the year .
Ingram added : “ Within 24 hours of Harry and Meghan ’ s announcement , which we were absolutely delighted to hear , we started experiencing an avalanche of searches for trilogy rings . “ But not only that , our cushion cut Danielle ring sales have risen by 700 % since then , which is just mind-blowing . Thanks to the fact that we handcraft our own jewellery and the way we manage our stock , we ’ ve been able to satisfy our customers ’ demand for these styles , both for Christmas and now of course for Valentine ’ s Day .”

Indian jewellery billionaire Nirav Modi has been accused of ‘ cheating ’ stateowned Punjab National Bank ( PNB ) out of nearly $ 1.8bn (£ 1.2bn ).
According to reports he is alleged to have worked with bank employees to obtain huge unsecured loans over a seven-year period , according to a complaint filed by PNB .
