Isle of Man Heritage Pass

A 14 day Heritage Pass gives unlimited access to Manx National Heritage sites: House of Manannan, Castle Rushen, Old House of Keys, Nautical Museum, Rushen Abbey, Cregneash National Folk Museum, Peel Castle, Grove Museum and the Laxey Wheel. Some sites open only during the summer season or may have limited opening hours outside of peak months. Members of the National Trust may have free entry to Manx National Heritage sites.
Isle of Man Go Explore Passes from £ 47
Go Explore Pass tickets allow unlimited use of the steam railway, mountain railway, horse drawn trams, electric train and the buses on the island. Trains and trams generally operate from Easter to October only- please check for exact dates.

See many of the corners and locations that have shaped race history before diverting to the Isle of Man Motor Museum and its collection of over 500 vehicles. Continue to North Ramsey and the Mountain Road, before concluding at the TT Grandstand.

DAY 1 Travel by sea to the Isle of Man
On arrival make your way to your hotel and this evening, enjoy free time at your leisure.
DAY 2 Steam Train & Malew Riverside Ramble
After breakfast, meet the local walking guide and stroll to Douglas Railway Station to board the steam train to Ballasalla. On arrival, walk past the evocative ruins of Rushen Abbey and head into Silverdale Glen. Follow a gentle path into Castletown where you have free time to relax before returning to Douglas by steam train or local bus( total walking distance 4 miles).
DAY 3 Electric Railway & Laxey Lower Valley
Walk to the northern end of Douglas promenade for the Manx Electric Railway to Laxey, a journey which is a highlight in itself. First stop is the iconic Great Laxey Wheel before you follow a route towards Agneash, a former mining village nestling in the hills. From here, the trail visits King Orry’ s Grave, an impressive Neolithic chambered tomb, and back down through Laxey village to the picturesque harbour. Return to Laxey station for the journey back to Douglas( total walking distance 5 miles).

DAY 4 Tynwald, Heritage Trail & Peel Hill
Take a bus west to St John’ s, home to Tynwald Hill, the ancient site of the island’ s parliament. Follow part of the Heritage Trail before turning towards Knockaloe Beg and climbing onto Peel Hill. A short detour leads to Corrin’ s Tower before a descent into Peel, where you can spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the narrow streets and harbourfront. Later, catch a bus to Douglas( total walking distance 5 miles).
DAY 5 Isle of Man / Mainland UK
Bid Slane Ihiat( goodbye in Manx) to new friends as you return to the mainland, full of happy memories of this extraordinary isle.
