Clos a Jaon
Sark- 6 cottages
Built in 1700, Clos a Jaon was for generations a simple pair of cottages with an adjacent barn built of granite walls and thatched roofs. After an initial restoration in the 1970s, the buildings were completely renovated in 2015. Whilst maintaining bags of original features and character, sympathetic changes have been made to enhance the properties’ practicality, with each cottage lovingly decorated and furnished to ensure guest comfort. Four are located on the Clos a Jaon site( Le Grand, Le Petit, La Grange and Le Friquet, with two others( Chez Nous and L’ Autre Coin) a short cycle away in the direction of the Point Robert Lighthouse.
Le Petit
Features: Courtyard and gardens.
Accommodation: Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge / freezer and laundry facilities, a living room with television, and each has their own furnished outdoor space. BBQ available on request.
Le Petit: Ground floor open-plan kitchen / dining / living room with wood burner and courtyard with table and chairs, first floor has one super king or twin bedroom and one king or small twin bedroom, a bathroom with bath / shower( max 4 adults or 2 adults & 2 children). L’ Autre Coin: Three super-king or twin bedrooms( two ensuite), are on the ground floor along with a bath and shower room, a utility room and patio / garden. Upstairs is a huge open-plan living and dining area plus kitchen and decked balcony( max 6 adults, 4 adults & 2 children or 2 adults & 4 children). La Grange: Ground floor has a large living room with doors opening onto the garden, plus a kitchen / dining area with doors to a garden, and a downstairs WC. Upstairs is a large ensuite master super king bedroom with balcony, along with three further bedrooms( one double with doors onto the balcony, one super king or twin, one smaller room with bunk beds and two further bathrooms( max 8 adults or 4 adults & 4 children).
