added a one line statement after his name and credentials that read: Cervix With a Smile. He absolutely loved this and handed out 500 cards as quickly as he could!

Luke was invited onto an All Star baseball team with some of his class mates. This team had games in remote locations over the summer months and we usually had to travel quite a distance to get there. We decided to camp out at some great locations and we had some fun with this. I think even Mimi enjoyed herself but she always commented about the state of the toilets that we found great and for fifty cents you get hot water for your shower. Luke’ s games were intense as he had two games each day for two days at a time. He played key positions as pitcher, catcher and short-stop. The playing fields were nice and had dugouts, stadium, lights and a well kept diamond. One time I got a bit carried away with a call from the umpire and I was kicked out of the stadium! I know, that is ridiculous but it happened and I got caught up in the moment. You had to be there to understand.
We loved to explore the beaches of Seattle and the islands. We were used to large white sand beaches in Perth and we were amazed to see just mud and rocks that lined the Seattle beaches. We watched in amazement as families sat on the beaches and children made mud castles. They were covered in dark, thick mud. Yuk. So we decided to take a vacation in Oregon as we had researched that there were white sand beaches only 9 hours away. We drove down the Pacific Coast Highway that was beautiful and after 9 hours we reached our destination. We saw the white sand and ran over it and it was burning our feet. We then ran into the water and we then felt pain, followed by pins and needles followed by numbness. We were standing in
Harry & Barry, Seattle freezing cold water and when we looked around no one else was in the water. It was about 100 degrees and the sand was burning and the water was freezing. We had no choice but to get out of the water and get to our towels. What a big let down for us. We couldn’ t believe that this holiday location was so bad. Fortunately, we found a lake where we rented a motor boat that we drove around and jumped in the lake to swim.
We wound up leaving this vacation destination early and minutes after arriving at our home in Seattle, we had a call from Mimi’ s sister that Roslyn, Mimi’ s Mom, had passed away. This was horrible news to all of us. We made plans to quickly return to Perth for the funeral which we all attended and it was, again, very sad to have seen her go so soon after her husband Frank. Roslyn had a massive stroke and she died before she hit the ground. This was a much better way to go than Frank who suffered in pain until the end. While I was in Perth, I spoke to some friends and colleagues and I was offered a job in a large consultancy that raised money for high profile charities.
