Australia bound- seeking more to life

Work at Johnson and Johnson Ultrasound in New Jersey was exciting but I was traveling quite a bit. When I was home, Mimi and I would enjoy our time together. We were clearly living the Yuppie life.
At one point, we came to the realization that what we were doing seemed a bit selfish and we wanted more. We actually wanted our own family. The townhouse we were living in was adjacent to many others and we saw women, with curlers and their screaming babies sitting on their front steps, walking around or at the pool. In the back of my mind, I didn’ t want to raise a family in the New York, New Jersey area. I just felt it wasn’ t right.

Mom traveled with us. After a very long trip we arrived in Perth and stayed with them. They took us to the nearby beach which was absolutely beautiful. It was so unique to be on the Indian Ocean. We saw a suburb on the beach called Scarborough and thought to ourselves that this would be a perfect place to live. We then drove down south about 4 hours to the wine district called Margaret River where there were so many wineries in amongst the very tall eucalyptus trees. The wild beaches were also fantastic. In fact, Margaret River is rated as the top place in the world for large wave surfing and international competitions are
