FOREWORD
MESSAGE FROM THE
RACE DIRECTOR
Dear Runners
Months of preparation will become reality in just
under a week, when we welcome you to the 2020
edition of the Jeppe Marathon.
The past two years have been very tough for K-WAY
Jeppe Athletics, as our race sponsorship with Pick n
Pay ended after 35 very successful years. We will
always be grateful for the support that we received
over that time from Pick n Pay.
It is, however, you the runner that we are even more
thankful to, for your continued support of our event,
even without a single sponsor on board. We continue
to strive to bring runners an event of an exceptional
nature that offers all the bells and whistles that a
participant would expect from a top class event.
We understand that with the poor economy, runners
are being forced to be more selective with where
they spend their hard-earned Rands and Cents,
and therefore we thank you for choosing the Jeppe
Marathon as one of those events.
We would like to thank Central Gauteng Athletics
for having faith in us and once again selecting our
event to host the 2020 CGA Marathon Champs this
Sunday.

Jeppe Marathon | 9 February 2020
The Jeppe Quondam Club was founded in 1907
and the Athletics Section in 1978. As part of this,
the Jeppe Quondam Club has been a prominent
landmark in Bedfordview since 1939, so keep a
lookout at the 3km mark for the club on your left hand
side. With this great history and tradition, our club we
will continue to offer a premier race on the Central
Gauteng road running calendar for many years to
come, and we will continue our search for a suitable
sponsor.
I would also like to thank each and every one of the
K-WAY Jeppe members who give their time in the
build-up and preparation for this event, as well as on
the day. Without each and everyone’s help, this race
would not be possible.
Thanks again for selecting the Jeppe Marathon, we
look forward to seeing you all on Sunday. Enjoy your
race, have fun, and remember #LiveLoveRun.
