Tourism is an industry growing exceptionally in the past few decades so it possesses some challenges, one of which is the accessibility for different segment of the society.

“We all know that it is basic human rights to have the same access to everything, accessible tourism is a topic not often discussed in many countries so it is so powerful that JEMUN brought this topic for countries to cooperate and find solutions together,” said the assistant chair of the room, Arbenita Sopaj addressing the importance of the topic.

Eisuke Adachi, a Cuban delegate then mentioned that “It is increasingly important for more disabled people to be able to travel because that is going to increase the revenue of the tourism industry as a whole, and economically beneficial for countries that depends on the industry.”

During their 3 long days of deliberations achieving their goal, we assumed that the delegates must have had some hard times. Eisuke went on sharing that “The hardest part is to convince others to accept your ideas”. But then added that one of the best moment is “The feeling of satisfaction when your ideas got accepted”.
