A SEASON TO REMEMBER
Jeffersonville lives up to the hype, captures program’ s second state title
Last June, Tre Singleton was asked what the Jeffersonville Red Devils’ objective would be for the 2024-25 season.
“ Our ultimate one is to win state,” the 6-foot-8 forward replied.
It seemed like an achievable goal considering that just three months earlier, Jeff’ s 2023-24 campaign ended with a 52-51 loss to Ben Davis in the Class 4A New Castle Semistate final. With four senior starters— Shawn Boyd, Michael Cooper, P. J. Douglas and Singleton— from that squad slated to return, the Red Devils figured to be one of the favorites to the win the state championship.
