This sweet country inn was once an ancient olive mill and is now owned by the Baracchi family, who own Il Falconiere. It is situated by a millstream which makes sleeping here very easy! It has eight adorable rooms, one suitable for families, each with a different country-style décor and furnished with antiques. The fantastic restaurant( overseen by the owners) features local Cortona cuisine— the homemade pasta is excellent! A lower price point than its sister property, the Locanda offers a great alternative to Il Falconiere, so guests have another option. It is located outside of Cortona but a very short drive away. This is a great base from which to explore Tuscany and Umbria as Cortona is so close to the border between the two.
