Wet Wet Wet star at ‘Jockey Club Live’ concerts
Wet Wet Wet was the
first band to be
announced for the ‘Jockey
Club Live’ concerts at
Newmarket and Market
Rasen this summer.
The band will bring down
the curtain on the
seven-night concert
series of Adnams
Newmarket Nights on The
July Course on Friday 15
August. A day later they
play at the Lincolnshire
racecourse.
Wet Wet Wet, who
attracted a crowd of over
20,000 when they last
played at Newmarket
seven years ago, have
been entertaining fans
with their music for a
quarter of a century.
They are probably best
known for the 1994 cover
of The Troggs’ 1960s hit
‘Love Is All Around’ which
was used on the
soundtrack to the film
‘Four Weddings And A
Funeral’.
Almost 22,000 packed
The July Course for his
concerts in 2011 and
2012.
The date for dairies this
year is Friday 1 August.

£25 (from £12 for
children) and can be

Late last year, the band
released ‘Step By Step
– The Greatest Hits’,
described as a
“celebration” of the
band’s most popular
songs. It also features
three new tracks.
Wet Wet Wet played to
large audiences on a
12-date ‘Greatest Hits’
tour at the end of 2013.
Tickets are on sale for
both concerts. They
start at £23 for adults.
Tickets for under 18s
are £12 at Newmarket
and £8 at Market
Rasen. Children’s
tickets are limited and
must be purchased
with adult tickets.
Under 16s must be
accompanied by an
adult.

Newmarket is £425
(adult), with concessions
of £235 for 18-24 year
olds. At Market Rasen
(20 fixtures left),
it’s £355 (dual) and
£200 (single). At
Huntingdon (15 fixtures
left), dual membership is
£285 and single is £160.
