Applications are invited for three (3) dentistry positions either as a Dental Clinician (Limited Term) or as a Clinician Scientist (probationary/tenure-track) appointment at the
rank of Assistant Professor in Schulich Dentistry effective March 1, 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Exceptional candidates at a higher level may be considered for a tenured appointment and administrative responsibilities, commensurate with qualifications and
experience. Candidates with a PhD that have an outstanding record of research and publication may be offered a probationary appointment.
Candidates must possess a DDS/DMD degree (or equivalent); be Fellowship or Board-eligible in area of specialty; having completed at least two years full-time
postgraduate specialist training; and be eligible for full or academic licensure within the Province of Ontario. Preference will be given to those that demonstrate aptitude in
two or more of the following areas: diagnosis and treatment planning in fixed and removable prosthodontics, geriatrics, dental technology, multidisciplinary patient care,
teaching of critical thinking, inter-professional education, and potential collaboration with existing research that adds value.
Successful candidates will have a commitment to and demonstrated aptitude for teaching, and will be expected to teach at the didactic, pre-clinical and clinical levels of
the undergraduate and international dentists programs. Successful candidates will be expected to do some academic or clinical administration. Cross-discipline clinical
teaching within all divisions of the dental programs is expected. Probationary candidates will be expected to maintain an ongoing research program resulting in
peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidates will serve in community, professional and administrative roles. Positions will entail
