Additionally , we provide instructional classes tailored to support the mental , emotional , and social growth of children and youth , all within a competitive framework . Pickleball
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis , badminton , and table tennis . It is a fun and socially friendly game for all ages and abilities . It is an easy game for beginners to learn as the rules are simple but can also develop into a fast-paced competitive game for experienced players .
J . B . Stouffs has been a Weinstein JCC member since 2013 and started playing pickleball in 2016 . He has successfully taught beginners the fundamentals and rules of the game , so they can quickly become competent and have fun playing pickleball . He also gives lessons to help players enhance and elevate their skill levels to become more proficient and competitive pickleball players !

Beginners Pickleball Clinics
Beginner Pickleball clinics will take place from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Sundays for four straight weeks . We will teach you the rules of the game , basic techniques , and strategies to make the game more enjoyable .

Round Robin Doubles Pickleball Social Tournaments
Ages : 18 +
Our very own J . B . Stouffs will organize and host a doubles pickleball tournament on Sunday , October 15 and December 17 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM . Participants will be guaranteed at least 5 games of play . Refreshments will be provided by the
Free JCC Pickleball offered to members on :
Saturdays , 11:00 AM-1:00 PM • Sundays , 10:00 AM-12:00 PM ( Only when clinics or tournaments are not offered ) $ 15 per visit for guests • Ages : 18 +
Weinstein JCC , and winners will be presented with an award ! This is a great way for participants who already understand the rules of pickleball to meet and socialize with other players that love the game as much as you do !

Futsal for Adults
Futsal is a small-sided soccer game ( typically 5 v 5 ) on a hard surface about the size of a basketball court . Futsal uses a modified ball that has less bounce than a typical soccer ball and small goals to match the size of the pitch . This format allows for a fun , fast-paced game full of creativity and improvisation for all abilities .
The Weinstein JCC ’ s very own Ben Tiner will be running the Futsal program ! Ben has been playing soccer his entire life and has been coaching for over 10 years . Ben currently coaches for the Richmond Kickers and actively plays on a premier team in the Central Virginia Soccer Association league , where he also serves on the board .
Supervised pickup futsal games in the Arenstein gym for adults of all abilities . Free for members . No sign-up required . Guests are welcome to play if they are accompanied by a member . Guest passes can be purchased at the front desk .
