The Weinstein JCC welcomes everyone to share in the richness of the Jewish heritage . Enjoy the restfulness of Shabbat , learn about the Jewish holidays , and so much more . Programs are offered for people of all ages and are rooted in Jewish values and traditions .
Helpers for Heroes
Make a card and help assemble Hamantaschen for Heroes Kits ! Community service hours will be signed for those that need them ! Free to attend . Light snacks will be served . For ages 11 +.

Garden , Gather , and Groom ! ( weather permitting )
Join us at the Edible Schoolyard for the Vernal Equinox and help prepare the garden for spring ! Please bring any gardening tools or supplies that may be helpful ! Free to the community , all ages , and abilities welcome and encouraged to attend ! No RSVP required .

JLEAP Get Out of Egypt … Quick !
JLeap is presented in partnership by Weinstein JCC , Keneseth Beth Israel and the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond .
Are you ready to take the LEAP out of Egypt this Passover ? Join JLEAP , Jewish Learning Enrichment and Play at the Weinstein JCC where you ’ ll build , create , play , design and experiment your way through the Passover story and still be home in time for the holiday . Get Out of Egypt , QUICK with fun and learning for the whole family !

Superhero Purim Celebration
Dress as your favorite hero and join us for a day full of fun and service ! Meet our local ( firefighters and police ) and comic superheroes , while playing games , running through a hero obstacle course , and participating in a community-wide hamantaschen making event ! We will be collecting new books for children grades pre-K through 12 as part of Henrico County ’ s Fuzz Buddy program .
Comic and superhero draw-along from 1:30 - 3:00 PM with local artist , Lizzie Brown for kids ages 10-14 . Attendance is free with registration required .
Sunday , March 13 , 12-3pm ; 3-4pm Purim spiel performed by Congregation Beth Ahabah FREE
Purim Celebration is supported by Richmond Council of Jewish Educators ( RCJE ), a committee of Jewish Community Federation of Richmond ( JCFR ).
Hamantaschen for Heroes
The community is invited to participate in a very special hamantaschen baking activity . Reserve your hamantaschen baking kit in advance . Each kit will make a dozen hamantaschen : 6 you will take and bake and 6 will be baked at the JCC and donated to our local heroes . Visit weinsteinjcc . org to reserve your hamantaschen kit . Quantities are limited .
