The Weinstein JCC welcomes everyone to share in the richness of the Jewish heritage . Enjoy the restfulness of Shabbat , learn about the Jewish holidays , and so much more . Programs are offered for people of all ages and are rooted in Jewish values and traditions .
Shana Tova Festival
We ’ re “ keepin it sweet ” and welcoming the new year at our first annual Shana Tova Festival . Grab a chair or blanket and meet us outside for live music by The Jangling Reinharts . Beer , wine , and food available for purchase . Kosher dietary restrictions observed . Free and open to the public .

Five Week ‘ Crash Course ’ in Basic Judaism
Instructor : Rabbi Yosef Bart Ages : 18 +
Explore fundamentals and facets of Traditional Judaism in this unique and thought-provoking five part lecture series . Topics include Belief in God , Torah , The Sabbath , Jewish Observance and Sexuality . This series is co-sponsored by the RJLE - Richmond Jewish Learning Experience and NJOP - the National Jewish Outreach Program .

Global Day of Jewish Learning
Local rabbis will present topics and facilitate discussions around the theme , Rebuilding : How do we heal ourselves and our relationships ? How do we proceed after national tragedies ? How have the Jewish People moved forward following times of crisis ?
Global Day of Jewish Learning ( GDJL ) is an international day of study and unity bringing together Jews of all beliefs and backgrounds all across the world on the same day .
Advanced registration is encouraged . Space is limited .
This event is planned by the GDJL committee chaired by Melissa and Andy Brownstein and Elaine and Mitchell Ragone

Shabbat Sha-Bang ! Lights & Latkes
Join us for a “ mock ” Shabbat and Hanukkah dinner in celebration of the Festival of Lights . We ’ ll light candles , eat latkes , sing songs , and play dreidel . Fun for the whole family !
