Inclusion & Support Services

The Weinstein JCC is committed to making sure that everyone feels welcome and integrated in our community . We strive to enhance the lives of children with special needs by providing opportunities for personal and educational growth in our Preschool , Childcare , After-school and Summer Camp programs . Our program for adults is designed to engage those with cognitive and physical disabilities through social and recreational opportunities . The Center promotes full accessibility , including a wheelchair-accessible van for transportation to and from activities .
Adult Circle of Friends
An intimate , supportive group for adults with special needs Ages : 22 +
The Adult Circle of Friends is a social and recreational group for adults with special needs . The focus of this group is on learning new social skills and making friends . The group meets once a month and will remain at the Weinstein JCC for planned activities .
This group is intimate and supportive by design . Participants need to be able to transition well into new settings and feel comfortable in public places .

Kesem Inclusive Theatre Project
October - March
Join us for our 6th year of making magic ! Kesem (“ Magic ” in Hebrew ) is exactly what occurs when actors , both with and without needs , go through this theatrical process together . A theatre education initiative for adults ages 18 and up , Kesem provides a comprehensive theatre education experience from process to performance . Participants will meet weekly to create a performance shaped around their unique abilities and interests . Weekly meetings will be a combination of virtual and in-person and we will culminate the season with a theatrical performance open to the community .
