PPE was donated and purchased to ensure the safety of our staff , patients and visitors . Your support enabled JBH to purchase more than 25,000 + face shields , 500,000 + masks and 4,000,000 + pairs of gloves to protect front line healthcare workers from COVID-19 .
Caring for the Caregivers
In early spring , JBH launched the CARE Cart – a mobile wellbeing station which continues to travel throughout departments providing snacks , beverages , gift cards and a little CARE in appreciation for the exceptional care that staff provide to our patients . We received overwhelming feedback from staff in appreciation of the roving CARE Cart and how it provided them with a much needed snack break and a friendly smile , in these challenging times .
Your support also saw staff wellness and support programs being offered , like a 6-week Mindful Adaptive Practice ( MAP ) program to help staff deal more effectively with the challenges they are facing . These programs were tailored specifically to the needs of our healthcare professionals .
