From the Foundation

After the world was turned upside down in 2020 with the onset of the global pandemic , we were all hopeful for a return to normalcy in 2021 . But , COVID-19 had other ideas , further impacting our daily lives with continued upheaval and change .
However , once again you stepped up and supported our hospital , and the incredible staff and physicians who continued to provide safe , high-quality care to our community .
Many of life ’ s most important moments take place right here at Joseph Brant Hospital . Through times of care and times of crisis , these are the moments that join us together . And now , more than ever , your support for local healthcare is making a difference for our patients and their families . Patients like Kevin & Debbie Devereux , whose story we ’ re pleased to share in this report .
Leon Denbok Chair , Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation Board of Directors
Your donations help fund our urgent priorities , like much-needed equipment upgrades , as well as innovation in program delivery .
Nowhere is this more apparent , and more needed , than in our Mental Health & Addictions Program . We ’ re pleased to share stories of our incredible donors , like Equilibrium Burlington – the Mental Health Patient , Family and Caregiver Advisory Committee and The RBC Foundation . The support of these donors , along with many others , is helping establish and expand award winning programs like Prioritizing Health through Acute Stabilization and Transition ( PHAST ) program , while attracting some of the best physicians in the province , like Dr . Monidipa Ravi , our new Child and Adolescent Lead Psychiatrist .
These are just a few of the lives that your support has touched , and we hope you can take a moment to reflect on the impact you are having on the health of our community .
