The noise, the roar of the screaming fans fills the room as J.T. walks onto the stage wearing a SUIT & Tie

By Jasmyn Fall

You walk in to a huge theatre filled with screaming people. The floor is sticky and littered with half chewed peices of gum. The bright lights all around you stare down on you making you feel hot and sweaty. You suddenly find yourself standing next to a young girl who is screaming, laughing, crying, all at the same time. You look around, and feel a smile tingling at the corners of your mouth. You can feel the energy radiating off all the people around you. You let yourself smile in awe at this marvelous sight, but you are soon brought back to reality. You look around, and see everyone's eyes are turned toward the stage. And then... the noise, the roar of the screaming fans fills the room as J.T. rises up along with his backup dancers from the middle of the stage wearing a suit and tie.

You cheer along with the rest of the fans, you scream and shout until your voice becomes hoarse. The music to Suit & Tie starts and you along with thousands of other people sing along and dance as J.T. as if you are the ones on the stage, and not Justin. Your smile is so wide that it hurts. J. T. dances in that style no one can hold a finger to. He holds out the mike every now and again to the audience and you all shout the lyric in mismatched voices that harmonize with the happiness that you all embody. Justin and his back up dancers are all wearing sleek black suits and ties. They dance in a perfectly choreographed sync. The fans in the front reach their hands out to him, in the hope that Justin will touch their hands. You were so caught up in Justin, you hardly noticed the way the stage had long mirrors hanging from the ceiling at different lenghths or how the stage was beautifully lit, casting a bluish glow throughout the theatre.

Then, the theatre quiets again, except for a few people who keep shouting "I love you Justin" from the back row. Justin looks at the audience and smiles. He's sitting on a stool with a guitar in hand. He says "I'm going to perform What Goes Around. It's been a little while and I'm sorry- that it's been so long." The audience cheers until Justin holds his hand up. They all quiet down and Justin begins to strum his guitar and sings. The audience joins in, and everyone sways to the music. They, the audience, the fans, the lovers are all one connected thing. Three thousand bodies, all interconnected. You can feel it: You're not afraid to dance, or sing because these are your people. Yours and these strangers share a passion J.T. and the music he makes. It makes you want to shout and jump, and you almost do, but you sway gently to the music like everyone else untill the song is over. So many more songs are sung that you can hardly remember. Your hair is a frizzball and you smell of sweat, perfume, and cologne, but you don't even notice. It's two hours of happiness and fun. The crowd is still wild after a long night. Then, the last number is to be performed. It's a loud, upbeat song, you can feel the vibrations through the floor. It comes up to your feet, your legs, your whole body is buzzing, and all at once the crowd puts their hands together and rocks that last number. You remember this moment forever, these people, this love, the way the music builds up inside you and waits to be released. You never forget a moment like this.
