use of Dinar and Dirham in Japan . Imam Ahmad also suggested to speak to the congregants after Jumaah prayers in the mosque . So after the prayers was over , I went to the top of the mimbar to address them . It was quite a discouraging sight to see that in the midst of the sharing many took their leave and in the end all that was left in the mosque were six people . Taking the positive from this experience however , at least there was awareness created amongst the congregants and insya Allah through the six congregants who have stayed throughout , the revival of muamalah will be propagated . One of the congregants commented that he had been following Maulana Imran Hossein on Youtube so he was already aware about the Dinar and Dirham but little did he know that the Dinar and Dirham are already in circulation within our region . He bought one of the Dirhams which I had left with Imam Ahmad who promised to showcase the Dirhams and share more about the revival of muamalah in his mosque . I did not have the opportunity to use the Dirhams apart from the two shops in Nagoya . However , with a joint effort with another propagator of Dinar Dirham in Japan , Yukari Aisha Takeuchi , I was blessed with the opportunity to meet with Shaykh Ahmad Abu Hakeem Maeno , a very prominent Japanese Muslim .

He shared with me insights of Islam in Japan and the challenges it faces . He highly commended our efforts to revive muamalah but although he did not deny the need to re-establish muamalah , he mentioned that there is a pressing need for Japanese Muslims to be grounded in the fundamentals of Islam too before they can fully grasp about muamalah . This is the challenge Japan faces in the revival of muamalah . I also had the opportunity to speak to a publisher of the Islamic newspaper in Japan whom after the sharing about muamalah , promised to include an article about Dinar and Dirham in the newspaper . The last update I received from Yukari , the publisher even collaborated with a Muslim community in South Korea to create a Dinar and Dirham gallery in Seoul ! Muamalah is slowly growing in the Far East . Alhamdulillah , Allahu akbar !
Granada , Spain
Quite recently , Abdillah , a close friend , and i travelled halfway around the world to AndalucĂa , Spain . It is amazing that you can still find many relics and monuments which illustrate the Muslim civilisation that existed before . Apart from the Alhambra , Granada is a historical place in its own right . It is here that the very first Dinar was minted since the fall of the Caliphate .
