Javea Grapevine Issue 178 - LARGE FONT EDITION | Page 3
Welcome to the
the Jávea Grapevine Magazine
After an extra long Summer break it is really good to be back. I hope that your
season has been entertaining and successful. Mine has been a tad fraught. After a successful (and I hope final) operation in June and some time after spent
recovering, I persuaded my mother that we should drive to the UK and back.
We had a great time visiting friends and family, saying goodbye to the house
that has just sold there and started to potter back through France. We were still
short of Paris when there was a loud bang under the car - something must have
flown up underneath. At some point, over a glass of wine, I will doubtless regale
you all with a blow by blow account of our exciting trip, unless mother beats me
to it with her new blog on www.maijottings.com.
On returning, our internet was worse than ever before, with speeds of less than
400Kb it was like a return to 1999 - couldn’t even upload a 100kb photo, so it
was a magazine-free fortnight until two days ago - so pleased that we have now
moved to a new provider.
So that is my news. if you have news to share, why not contact me.
