Javea Town Hall has renewed its collaboration
agreement with APASA
the Asociación Protectora
de Animales San Antonio
who take on the diffucult
task of collecting stray
dogs in the city, keeping
them in kennels and also
woeking with local police
when a loose dangerous
animal is located.
The mayor, José Chulvi
(pictured together with the
Councillor for the Environment, Doris Courcelles,
and a representative of
the APASA) has authorised the municipal subsidy of 45,800 euros.
Apasa has more than a
hundred dogs in their facilities, all fed, vaccinated
and chipped ready in the
event that someone is
willing to adopt them. The
association, in addition
to the municipal contribution raises its finances
through events, volunteers and donations.
