Waiting for Spring... For a Councillor of Services, Environment and Beaches, the Spring arrival doesn’t mean rest and relaxation but although the weeds and the complaints will soon invade the whole municipality, I must admit that, like you, I look forward to this season. People will go back to their walks and might discover the numerous improvements that we have achieved during the winter. “La Plana” after the fire, the cleaning work and the plantations have a different look and maintenance jobs have been organized in some urbanizations like “Villes al Vent”, “Cansalades Park”,“Pi verd” and the green zone of Pou dels Albanells (Cap Marti) To prevent fires in Granadella, another jewel of Jávea, a forestal team and heavy machinery are busy there now. Also, have you noticed the changes made to the roundabout on the Benitachell road, the exit of Cami Castellans, the crossing of Cami Vell de Granadella with Carretera de las Cansalades, etc... etc...? In Pinosol, to the delight of children, a huge new castle game will be installed. This is a project subsidized by the “Diputación de Alicante”. Let’s hope that the structure etc., will be in place before Easter. You might have family coming along …..... at this holiday period of the year. Do you know that we have just inaugurated the new “Punt Verd de la Umbria”” in c/ Bamboccio? It is situated at the entrance of “Cansalades Park”. (The access from “Villas al vent” is not available yet as the complex hasn’t been adopted) We now have 19.
