Cap San Antonio Light House has been put to Tender
The Xàbia City Council has published on the State ’ s public procurement platform the opening of the tender the drafting of the execution project to enable the Cabo de San Antonio Lighthouse for public use .
The project includes the rehabilitation of both the building of the former lighthouse keeper ’ s house and the annex for warehouses to turn them into an interpretation center for the Marine Reserve and the Montgó Natural Park . The contract went out to tender for 29,040 euros ( VAT included ) and a deadline to deliver it of 1.5 months . The City Council has recently obtained the official transfer of the lighthouse building for a minimum of 15 years ( extendable for another 5 more ) by the Port Authority , to whom it will pay a monthly fee of about 700 euros . The space , of about 3,300 square metres , will become a place for the dissemination of the environmental and marine wealth of the environment in which it sits , thus guaranteeing public access to the space .
