The local group of Civil Protection of Xàbia has presented its summary of the summer , a period in which it was mainly in charge of preventive surveillance in forest areas but also preventive services related to Covid19 in support of the Local Police , as well as on beaches to avoid bonfires and crowds at night in Sant Joan or access to the beaches during the first two weekends of the summer . With 32 volunteers , Civil Protection has dedicated a total of 3,860 hours to these services from June 1 to October 14 ; ( 1255 in June ; 870 in July , 985 in August , 545 in September and 205 in October ).
They have participated in several emergencies including 7 fires , five attempts , three vehicle fires , two in containers and one electrical origin . Other mobilizations included traffic accidents and the search and location of a missing person in the forest at La Granadella .
Xàbia Civil Protection has dedicated 3,860 hours to forest prevention this summer
