Restaurante ( the 5-star ) BENI ASIA ***** ( BENITACHELL ) The refurbishment continues to be followed by improvements all around notably with excellent wines ( Dueros & Martin Codax .... etc .) - and the best spring rolls anywhere - in our experience .
On right side of the Cumbre del Sol road which leads off Benitachell high street ( left at traffic lights just after Masy-Mas ). This is regarded by very many ( including your writer and former residents of Singapore & Hong Kong ) as one of the best Chinese restaurants in the whole area , now under the management of the son of the charming owner , Fan-Fan . Duck ( Peking and “ à l ’ orange ”) a speciality - of course ! Every dish tastes different and the food here is free of MSG . And our great Chinese pianist Haochen Zhang loves it ! GATA Restaurante ARRELS : Plaza de Espana , Gata . From Jávea cross the railway on the way into Gata - go up to the traffic light ( park anywhere around here ). Turn left . Arrels is on the 2nd corner ( on the N332 ) going southward . What a truly delighful surprise ! We have been back already several times and were equally carried away and entertained ).
The owner , a chef of great skill and imagination , provides a greatly imaginative cuisine and especially creative and marvellous tapas on Sat . & Sunday as part of the menudel-dia which costs about € 22 ( 4 tapas + main course etc .). Most strongly recommended .

“ MASENA ” at Restaurante < VALL de CAVALL > : Gata : Masena ’ s sister restaurant is situate in beautiful open countryside , with spectacular mountain views , attached to the riding centre off the N332 outside Gata . Heading southwards out of Gata , close to the northern entrance to the gorge , take the last turn , where the buildings end , down to the left . Also with pool .
