commits to the environment
and reduces Co2 emissions
Damm is committed to improving
the efficiency of its factories and
reducing the environmental impact
of its processes. The company
generates more than 7 million
kWh of renewable electric energy
annually, which has enabled it to
reduce its CO2 emissions by more
than 2,600 tons in its production
and packaging plants. In 2017 alone,
Damm invested more than six million
euros in environmental improvement
activities, such as the implementation
of a circular economy model and the
installation of a programming system
to calculate the water footprint
in all the plants. The company is
currently generating 7,700,000 kWh
of electric power through renewable
energy generation in its factories in
El Prat de Llobregat ( Barcelona ), El

Water Observatory to discuss
sustainable
Mediterranean
gardens
There will be a meeting of the
Water Observatory on Wednesday,
December 12th at 6.00 pm in the
Desalination plant on promoting
awareness
about
sustainable,
low water consumption gardens.
Examples will include the Albarda
Gardens in Pedreguer, and the success
stories of the local company Jardín
Sostenible. Everyone welcome.
