Bridge is usually played with some
rules and regulations in place, but
the dress code is strictly informal.
At Javea Bridge Club’s most recent
“special” tournament, dressing up
was very much in order. Timed to
coincide with Ascot Ladies Day,
several of the players stepped up
to the mark with outfits worthy
of the occasion. The Ladies
Day Pairs was directed by past
President Pat Ford and followed
by an excellent spread of tapas.
The club welcomed visitors from
several other clubs – including
some from Madrid.
The clear winners were Chris and
Maria, runners up were Marie
Jose and Rosa. Super clothing
prizes were sponsored by Carol
