Batiste Bas Soler (on the left) born in
1912, entered the concentration camp
in January 1941 and was assassinated
in November of the same year aged
29 years.
Bertomeu Cardona Espasa (on the
right) born 1919, entered in April 1941
and was assassinated in November of
the same year at age 22.
This Memorial is part of the of the
last issue of the magazine Aguaits
37-38 (published by the Institute of
Regional Studies of the Marina Alta)
and is devoted to repression during
the war and the postwar period in the
Marina Alta.

Josep Bas was also present as a
relative of one of the prisoners who
disappeared in the concentration
camp.
