2000: Launches her first collection
simply titled "Shoes" under the
"Marion Ayonote"
2002: Selected to attend the
Xperience UK event in Dubai entitled
"Best of British" showcasing
alongside Paul Smith, Janet Reger
and others.
Received a special recognition award
from Ovation Magazine as Africa's
top shoe designer.
Designed shoes for Miss World 2002.
Chosen to design shoes for the
beauty pageant "Face of Africa" and
was listed as one of the top 50 most
influential female designers in the UK
by the Design Association.
2003: Selected for entry into Drapers
Record Magazine Shoe Supplement
covering high end craftsmanship in
evening styles and made the Top
Style Lounge at the GDS Messe
Dusseldorf Fair showing alongside
top brands such as Cavalli, Hugo
Boss, and Escada.
2006: Selected amongst 60 designers
worldwide to design the dream shoe
for Swarovski's around the world
exhibition tour. Marion Ayonote
brand starts to sell in department
stores in Tokyo and Osaka.
Nominated for the Fashion Designer
of the Year, Black Business Awards
and the International category at the
11th EFBWBO Annual Awards.
