Jasmine's Place Issue No. 4 - March/April 2013 | Page 17
To this day, I use my writing and
voice to share God’s encouragement
and love. My mission is for my
audiences to find freedom through
surrender.
As I’ve moved forward in writing and
my surrender experiences, I knew
having a tagline was important to
build what they call a a platform in
the writing world.
I’ve had to surrender good things like
writing for my local Mothers of
Preschoolers group. I didn’t
understand why God was asking me
to let that go, but that good
surrender was so He could place me
somewhere else.
I’ve had to surrender what might
come under a bad category, like fear.
I can fall into gossip without realizing
it. Those are things I want to be free
of.
The part of the tagline I receive the
most comments about is “maybe
one day surrendering the chocolate”.
The majority of my audience is made
of women, and chocolate is definite
a weakness for all of us. There was a
time I would eat M&M’s for
breakfast by the handfuls and have
no shame.
My mission is for
my audiences to
find freedom
through
surrender.
Although I’ve surrendered that, I
haven’t quite given chocolate up.
But, maybe one day.
