Warmer weather, simpler living, school is
out – many people equate the summer
months with freedom and fun. One of the
main components of summer fun is
community, which is something we all
need, and probably enjoy most, about the
summer months. With the increase in our
social calendars often times comes the
packing on of a few pounds.
The reason for this is that many summer
traditions and holidays center around
food. These foods have become such a
part of our summers that we may feel we
are “missing out” if we don’t partake in
Aunt Tina’s beloved cream pie, or Susan’s
twice baked potatoes. There are some
practical ways to enjoy summer treats
without sacrificing your commitment to
health and wellness, so I decided to share
10 of these tips with you in the article
below.
