Jasmine's Place Issue No. 15 - February 2015 | Page 5
Welcome!
Welcome to Jasmine’s Place, Issue No. 15, a special charity issue.
This is our first issue this year and so here’s wishing you a Happy New Year!
Margaret Mead said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed
citizens can change the world, indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Working on the frontlines of need, the charities featured in this issue are changing
the world for good, one life, one family, one community at a time. Originally
featured in previous issues of the magazine, this special issue serves as a reminder
of the great work they do. And as it was then, it remains an honour now to feature
them in this special issue.
They rescue, rehabilitate, re-include and empower the oppressed, ostracized and
marginalised. They alleviate the needs of the poor. Through sustainable
development initiatives, they contribute to community development, education
and business development. They undertake research for permanent cures to life-
threatening diseases and psychological ailments. They provide practical help and
information. They restore homes, lives, livelihoods and regions.
This is GOOD NEWS. Fall in love with the work they do. Have a great February!
